Dear All,
This is a difficult letter to write to you all – students and tutors alike.
The Hampshire Art studio is to close for workshops at the end of March but will remain open as a website. On this site you will be able to find videos of workshops to purchase, and some raw workshop video taken live, in class, for those wanting to revisit some of the tutors, and or workshops. We will use it to update you on news and things of interest.
As some of you know it has been a difficult year. The Bransbury studio has been taken from under our feet, and the balance of renting a new studio vs increase in cost of living etc makes the classes unviable. We are all affected.
Sad as it is, we are looking upon this change as a positive shake up. Both Clare and Kate will go on to pursue other arty interests which may involve some of you. Indeed we would love you to remain in touch via the contact details listed below.

We have had great fun with HAs over the last few years. We have enjoyed every aspect of getting to know you, presenting you with amazing tutors from the very pinnacle of their profession, widening your knowledge and approach to making art. All this provided in a calm, exciting, enriching and therapeutic environment, alongside the River Dever and splendid cake. (..and crisps).
We hope you have enjoyed the process as much as us.
Onwards and upwards – we will keep in touch with you all

Really sad to receive your email this morning about Hampshire Art Studio closing.
When I visted the studio, I had only been a life model for 4 months. You ran a course called the history of the nude in art and booked me as your model for the whole of the 5 week course. It was a great course and really helped me get a real grounding in the skills of being a life model. Because of that I now have many life modelling sessions and have been recommended for 2 colleges recently. Will never forget that course and all the lovely people I met there and the some fun times.
Hope to see you again one day.
Thank you Kate and Clare

Oh dear, I’m so sorry to hear this as having been to online classes and some live with Kate, I was looking forward to doing more with you this year, due to my semi-retirement.
Please do keep in touch with any individual classes your artists may choose to run under their own steam.
Kind regards
Jane HB
I’m very sorry you are closing, very difficult times and a hard decision for you. I hope to see you again.
All the best for the future, and thank you.

I’m so sorry to hear this news. I’ve loved coming to your classes and had hoped to do so for many years to come. What a shame – but best of luck in your new endeavours. Best wishes, Deborah
Sad to hear. You provided me with some great experiences both in the yurt and in the studio, not to mention Spain! Many thanks. Best of luck . Chris
Thank you Chris. It has been great fun, and very rewarding to watch the pleasure and confidence the many students have gained from their experiences with Hampshire Art studio.
