Join us by the River Dever whether you are experimenting with clay and natural dyes, weaving using markmaking (much as you would with drawing) or exploring watercolour with the river as your inspiration.
Join our talented group of tutors for painting and drawing workshops in June. Enjoy the chalk stream and countryside setting of our studio.
The landscape around our Bransbury studio is often referred to as ‘quintessential Hampshire’, with its chalkstream, thatched cottages, Bransbury Common, farmland and byways. There are images of such landscapes on biscuit tins and jigsaw puzzles in every gift shop in the country. In this workshop you will be encouraged to think about how it feels to be in the landscape, and part of it. You will be in an ancient landscape, walking in the footsteps of people long gone. However your experience of the time at Bransbury combines both the present and the past, and links across time.
As we get near the Easter holidays it is a good moment to tell you about what is coming up over the next few months. We are very excited by the talented tutors and variety of workshops
We want to celebrate our glorious landscape, the river Dever, chalk flora, trees, hills, paths and byways. We have gathered an outstanding group of tutors who will bring their individual approaches to the theme of Landscape in June.
Discover the huge range of possibilities open to artists using acrylic paints. Eve Dawson will guide you through materials, methods and exciting options using colour as a springboard into your work.
