Join us by the River Dever whether you are experimenting with clay and natural dyes, weaving using markmaking (much as you would with drawing) or exploring watercolour with the river as your inspiration.
As we get near the Easter holidays it is a good moment to tell you about what is coming up over the next few months. We are very excited by the talented tutors and variety of workshops
Do you find every odd looking old table, or ancient tray, looks like a potential project? How do you start upcycling to cheer up the shabby old pieces lurking around the house? Rosie Tatham is the person to show you how. She plans to show you an easy way to achieve a cheerful finish on a standard tray…as a starting point for all those other upcycling plans.
Playful Intent; Abstract Painting – If you are new to abstract painting you might wonder how to get started. Using the River Dever and studio environment as inspiration Barbara Graham will encourage students to become immersed in a process of play and exploration, using materials, marks, colour and composition to discover their unique visual language.
Come and paint with Francesca Shakespeare and discover her love of colour and texture. She is very experienced at introducing new students to new materials and showing them ways to capture the vibrance and character of a place.
