Drawing, Time and Place.

A drawing can capture more than a moment in time without having to be a pretend photograph. This class will look at being in a place over a day. There will be changes, alterations (to yourself and to the drawings)

Trying to capture images of the place, contrasting ephemeral and the more solid, will change your ideas about the environment you occupy and something of the nature of time.

What to expect on this course

The day will start with some warm up exercises, both drawing and ideas lead.

We will explore different ways of saying ‘I am here’, and visual methods of recording movement. Most things move but at different speeds – we have to work out how to deal with this.

By the end of the day you will have worked on a number of different drawings approached at different paces, about different places.
